MAKE Station

In a multi-disciplinary team comprised of Brown and RISD students, we created a multi-purpose, sitting and standing work station for both individual and collaborative work that will meet the various needs for the tasks performed at Brown University's Prince Lab
(a makerspace).

I focused on user researchconcept generation (sketching), and physical prototyping (machining and building wooden structure and metal mechanism).

REMOVABLE WING

the wing be on connected on either side of the station, so there is no left or right issue for the user.

SELF LIFT DIVIDER

a self-lifting mechanism ( with constant force spring) is used so that the user can set up a division for individual workspace with just a light push.
